WITHOUT A DOUBT, ONE OF THE BEST THINGS TO HAPPEN IN NIGERIA

FG To Drive “Change Begins With Me” In Civil Service

Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita
The Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, says the Federal Government will drive the recently launched “change begins with me” project in civil service.

Mrs Oyo-Ita explained that the reason for the development was to change the orientation of the public servants towards work.

She made the remarks on Wednesday in an interview with Channels Television in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital while reacting to the number of civil servants that resumed work after the Eid-el-Kabir holidays.

The Head of Service expressed satisfaction over the way workers’ attitude to work had changed, noting that many civil servants were already buying into the new national orientation programme, despite Nigeria’s current economic challenges.

She stated that the government would work towards establishing a reward mechanism for public servants, in order to drive the project in the service.

President Muhammadu Buhari launched the “Change Begins With Me”, as part of his administration’s strategy to carry all Nigerians along on the journey to a better and greater society that everybody could be proud of.

He said that the programme was the best way to sustain the effort his administration had made in the fight against corruption.
